Seminoles Plan to Hire 3,650 Dealers for Blackjack, Baccarat and Pai Gow Games to Debut in June

The Seminole Tribe announced on March 12th that it intends to hire 3,650 dealers to staff blackjack, baccarat and pai gow games at its Florida casinos, and expects to roll out the first table games at its Hard Rock Hollywood casino in June..

The Seminoles in November signed a gaming compact with Gov. Charlie Crist that permits the card games -- along with Class III slots -- at their seven Florida casinos, in exchange for payments of at least $100 million a year to the state of Florida.

While a challenge to the compact is still pending in the Florida Supreme Court, the Seminoles already have installed Class III slots at the Hard Rock Hollywood and the Coconut Creek casino -- and they rolled out more of the Vegas-style slots at Coconut Creek on Wednesday.

Seminole Gaming CEO Jim Allen said the tribe plans to hold the first of a number of job fairs for dealers for the card games on March 18 and 19 in Atlantic City.
